What would you highlight about Macondo 5th Av
It is a great condo with walking distance to tons of places.
It was close by to 5th avenue, it was nice to be able to walk the strip without taking a taxi or a car.
The WiFi is not great, very spotty. There using always hit water, so time your showers. The parking is terrible. Very tight, if you have a medium to large car it is nearly impossible to get in there.

Hot times at Macondo 5th
The condo unit is located on the north end of 5th Avenida, which is the major tourist pedestrian avenue. The unit is on the third floor and has lots of big windows and a deck overlooking the tourist area. It is fun to sit on the deck and watch the passing parade. There are lots of restaurants and stores along 5th Avenida. There is a 7/11 store on the street level below the unit, so it is easy to get bottled water and basic food and snacks. There is a rooftop swimming pool with nice seating and kitchen facilities and great water views and view of other rooftop pool areas. It is nice and quiet up there.
We were there on Fat Tuesday and the noise was really loud from the street below. The restaurant across the street usually closes around 10 pm, but was open later. The next evening there was a new store having an Open House into the wee hours complete with more loud music. All the other nights it was quiet. The air-conditioning quit half through our visit; building maintenance need a part which was at readily available, so we were left without AC until we left two days later. The washer/dryer unit seemed to wash, but did not dry, so we were stuck with a batch of wet clothes, that the concierge helped us air dry so we could leave. The pots and pans were unusable because the nonstick coatings were flaking off.

Clean, affordable, walkable
Staff was super helpful and kind. The room was nicely appointed.
A little far from the hub of 5th ave (though right on 5th ave). The couch was quite dingy but everything else was nice and the air conditioner worked and the price was great.

Very Good
Great location, close to the beach and 5'th av. Service is polite and professional. Nice rooftop pool
The furnishings in the rooms, especially the bathroom, are outdated. The air conditioning was awkwardly placed, blowing directly onto the bed.
